Green Gate Guest Houses is located near Biwabik, MN in northern Minnesota. With Giants Ridge Recreation Area in our backyard (think skiing, golfing, biking, and water sports), our area welcomes you with a rare combination of small-town charm and 4-season resort amenities. Our twelve properties are divided into three campuses to provide a variety of lodging experiences. Whether you choose to stay in the woods, at the lake, or on Main Street. you will be a short distance from all the outdoor adventures our area offers.
The “Stay in the Woods” campus is the historic mining town turned farmstead, where Green Gate Guest Houses was born. Currently, the Barn Home, Farmhouse, Miners Cabin and Log Cabin are located at this 13 acre private campus, just a few minutes from Giants Ridge and Biwabik.
The five “Stay at the Lake” properties are part of the Villas at Giants Ridge association, located within the Giants Ridge Resort. From 1BR condos to 3-story lakefront homes, these units can accommodate solo travels or multi-family groups. The skiing and biking operations are within walking distance of this complex, and guests staying here are welcome to enjoy the seasonal amenities including water toys, beach/docks, and outdoor pool/hot tub.
For those seeking the small town experience, Stay on Main Street at the Green Gate Gasthaus- a historic renovation that includes three 1930s-themed apartments and a soon-to-open coffee shop/bakery.
