We welcome guests year-round with the following procedures in place:
Social distancing guidelines will be practiced through self check-in/check-out procedures, electronic door locks and the natural seclusion of our northern Minnesota properties. You may not meet us during your stay at this time, but as always, we are available should emergencies arise.
Rest assured we will continue to provide all the linens, towels, and cooking/kitchen essentials for your stay. We remain diligent about washing and sanitizing fabrics including duvet covers, shams, and pillow protectors prior to every reservation, as part of our housekeeping procedures.
As always, guests will receive a reminder email approximately 2 days prior to their arrival outlining current conditions, tourism information, and anything you may need to bring along to complete your experience up north.

Reservation Policies
Minimum 3-night weekend stays (Friday/Saturday nights). 2-night minimum weekdays (Sun-Thursday). Need a shorter stay? Contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate a shorter stay when the schedule allows!
Additional $25/person for guests in addition to the base occupancy applies.
Deposit of 50% due as reservation is made. Balance is charged 30 days prior to check-in to the credit card used for the reservation. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival will be charged in full at the time of booking and are nonrefundable.
Check-in is 5pm; check-out is 10am.
We accept Visa, MC, American Express and Discover cards.
Sales & Lodging taxes of 12.375% applies to all stays.
Cancellation Policy
For cancellations requested via email greater than 30 days prior to arrival, we will refund your deposit minus a 10% processing fee. Payments are non-refundable within 30 days of arrival. We advise purchasing travel insurance here to protect you in the case of unexpected cancellations.
Damage Deposit
We do not collect a damage deposit prior to your stay. However, guests agree to accept any charges in the case of damages or excessive cleaning as result of their stay, to the credit card used during booking.
Children
Being a century-old farmstead, our “Stay in the Woods” properties contains a variety of potential hazards including barbed wire fences, steep river banks, and vintage tractor parts rusting in the woods. That said, well-supervised children of all ages are welcome. Our “Stay at the Lake” properties are part of an association of lake homes immersed in nature and also suitable for well-supervised children.
Smoking & Pets
In an attempt to maintain a safe, allergen-free environment for all our guests, no smoking or pets are allowed. Guest's reservation will be terminated and a deep-cleaning fee will be assessed if not adhering to this policy.
We currently are not offering our properties for venue use, sorry. Occupancy is limited to the registered group size, unless previously approved via email.
Gatherings/Events
Internet
Wireless internet is provided at all of our properties. The “Stay at the Lake” properties all include high speed broadband wireless internet. Our “stay in the Woods” campus features Starlink high speed satellite internet, providing typical speeds of 30mbps+ and unlimited data, now suitable for streaming, video conferencing, and general internet access.
